Our programs are designed to give teachers an extensive repertoire of reading strategies from which to teach during the year. Some examples of modeled lessons include: Before, During and After Reading Strategies, Inferencing, Predicting Outcomes, Cause and Effect, Setting a Purpose for Reading, Constructing Meaning, Activating Background Knowledge, How to Take a Test and more. All strategies taught are scientifically research based and demonstrate skills essential for student success. Teachers are exposed to these strategies first hand via workshops and follow-up modeling in the classroom by a literacy expert. Sample lesson plans from which to teach during the year are provided. |
