Our programs are designed to give teachers hands-on training of writing strategies which are scientifically research based. With a systematic and developmentally appropriate approach to teaching writing, it is reasonable to expect high scores from all students. The keys to success are beginning writing instruction in the primary grades, consistency in the use of the same graphic pre-writing organizers throughout all grades and holding teachers accountable for teaching writing everyday. Teaching writing should not fall on fourth grade teachers alone.
